Thanks to the brilliant minds of Miss Reena and Zuha, we have decided that we will have our personal little library in the literature class. Although, for safety of the books, we have also decided that instead of keeping the books in the literature classroom, we keep them in Miss Reena's office in the staff room.
As a great lover of books, I think that this is a wonderful idea. I'm always jumping at the chance to read any new books that pop up. We want you to donate as many books as you possibly can for our library, so that you can do something good as well as find something interesting to read as well. We want to have as many categories and books to choose from.
We will try and our dearest librarian (Zuha) will be in charge of making sure that your books will be in good shape and come to no harm. Books should be given the same love and care as a newborn baby. (I can't guarantee for the rest of the class but from you, you can expect the book to return back as if you brought it from the store itself).
I really can't wait to see all the books that we have in our little library. I love books so much - from the way that they smell, the feel of the paper and the inked words on them and how each one of those words can take you from being incredibly happy to sadness and how you end up falling in love with the beautiful characters in the book that seem for real than fictional.
This really will be a great oppurtunity for us to read more than we normally do and might I mention it is all for free ;) So donate books and read, read and lastly READ.
This is the Billabong High International School 9a class blog of 2013 where you will see a lot of arts, reminders of homework and exams, literature, health advice and many more things (:

Teacher`s Day In India
5th September is celebrated in India as Teachers Day every year.
It is a day that is full of celebration and joy.
Students give teachers flowers or some handmade card to show their appreciation.
Life in India is very different, student - teacher relationship is sacred and respected.
There is a poem written by Kabir ( an Indian poet) saying that a teacher is even greater than God,
because it is the teacher who makes the student realise the importance of GOD...
A good teacher is like a candle- It consumes itself to light the way for others.
# Some People think that "BLACK "colour as Bad. But They Forget to know that "Every Black-Board makes Bright Students, Future of the Nation. Happy Teachers day !!

Happy Anniversary Top Up
Just saying a happy first anniversary to the canteen, Top Up.
We, students from 8A, would just like to say that we love the food. We love that it's different and never the same and that it so delicious. Sometimes even better than homemade cooking ;)
